Privacy and cookie policy

Short version: this site sets no cookies, asks you for nothing and has no user accounts. What you calculate stays in your browser. That is also why you will never see a consent banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

Cookies

This site installs no cookies — none of its own, none from third parties, none for advertising, none for cross-site tracking.

The only possible exception is the video player described below, and only if you are the one who starts it.

Embedded video

One blog article includes a video hosted on YouTube. The player does not load by itself. Until you press play, this page sends absolutely nothing to YouTube or Google: what you see before pressing is a panel drawn with this site's own CSS.

If you do press it, the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, the variant without personalisation storage. From that moment Google enters as a third party: it will see your IP address and may use storage in your browser under its own privacy policy, which is outside this site's control. That is why the decision is yours and is flagged next to the button, rather than assumed.

If you never press it, everything stated in the section above about cookies holds in full. And you always have the alternative of opening the video directly on YouTube from the link underneath it, with the same effect as visiting YouTube yourself.

Local storage in your browser

It does use localStorage, which is not a cookie: it is never sent to any server and never leaves your device. The following is stored, all of it strictly functional:

  • idioma_elegido — so you are not offered the other language version again once you have dismissed it.
  • calc_metricas — a local usage counter (how many times you copied the code, how far down you scrolled). It stays in your browser and is not transmitted.
  • "My fleet" dashboard data — the miners and settings you enter. There is no server: if you clear your browser they are gone, and no copy exists anywhere.

You can delete all of it at any time from your browser's settings ("clear site data").

Analytics

Two analytics tools are used, Umami and Cloudflare Web Analytics, and both were chosen for the same reason:

  • They use no cookies and no other persistent identifier.
  • They collect no personal data and build no profiles.
  • They do not follow anyone across websites or across visits: there is no fingerprinting.
  • They do not store IP addresses for analytics purposes.

The data collected is aggregated and anonymous: number of visits, page viewed, approximate country, device and browser type, and referring page. As this is not personal data, no prior consent is required — which is why this site has no cookie banner.

Umami additionally records a handful of usage events from the tool itself: when a calculation is made (along with the TH and W/TH typed in, which are two numbers and identify nobody), whether the advanced settings block was opened, whether the referral code section was reached, whether that code was copied, and whether the link to GoMining was clicked. Blog articles record three more: whether the article was read to near the end, whether the reader moved from the article to the calculator, and the page language (es or en), which travels with the blog events so each version can be looked at separately. It exists to tell which parts of the calculator and the blog get used and which are dead weight. More detail in Umami's privacy policy and on the Cloudflare Web Analytics page.

Beyond that, the tool keeps a few counters of its own (how many times you have calculated, how far you scrolled) that never leave your browser: they live in localStorage and are not transmitted to any server. They are described in the section above.

If you use an ad or tracker blocker, most likely neither of them will load at all. The calculator works exactly the same: the analytics is isolated so that its absence breaks nothing.

Data requested from third parties

To show prices and network status, your browser makes requests directly to CoinGecko and mempool.space. Those requests leave your device, so those services see your IP address the same way any website you visit would. No data about you, and nothing you typed into the calculator, is sent to them. The optional chart loads the Chart.js library from cdnjs, with the same consideration.

Links to GoMining

The buttons on this site lead to gomining.com with a referral code in the URL. That code exists so GoMining knows you came from here and so the bonus is applied to you. No data about you is shared with GoMining from this site. From the moment you leave, GoMining's own privacy policy applies, which is outside this site's control.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any hosting, Cloudflare processes technical server logs (including IP addresses) in order to serve the site and protect it from attack, on the basis of legitimate interest.

Your rights

Since no identifiable personal data is collected, in practice there is no data of yours here to rectify or erase. Even so, you can write to [email protected] to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. The operator is established in Spain, so the competent supervisory authority is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD); if you are in another EEA country you may also lodge a complaint with your local authority.

Minors

This site is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below will be updated. If the change were substantial (for example, introducing any tool that does use cookies), it would be announced visibly on the site itself.

Last updated: 29 July 2026 (embedded video section added). Spanish version: Política de privacidad.
