Your first miner
Starting GoMining with $100
You have $100 and you want to try GoMining. This is what you get, what it earns you every day and what to expect over time.
What $100 buys
A new 12 W/TH miner costs about $19.00 per TH at the smallest sizes (GoMining app, 8 October 2026). So $100 buys about 5.3 TH. With the code 11jY4 you get +5% on that first purchase, so you end up with about 5.5 TH.
Miners come in power levels from 1 TH to 5,000 TH, so the exact size and price for your budget is what the app shows at checkout. A few cents either way don't change anything below.
Where each day's reward goes
Every morning GoMining credits what your TH mined the day before, with the maintenance already deducted. This is how a day splits today:
One day of 5.5 TH
More than half of what the miner mines goes on maintenance.
Electricity and the service fee are charged in dollars and don't care what bitcoin is worth. That's why your net moves so much more than bitcoin does: if bitcoin rises 10%, your net rises around 25%. And if it falls far enough, the net goes negative. Today that price is about $49,000: below it, this miner loses money every day. Where that price comes from, and what moves it.
How it evolves
Three things move your result over time: the bitcoin price, the network's difficulty (more machines each month, so your slice shrinks), and the halving in April 2028, which cuts the reward in half. This table shows what you'd have collected in total, without reinvesting, up to the halving:
| After | Bitcoin falls −30% a year |
Bitcoin flat | Bitcoin rises +30% a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calculating… | |||
Accumulated net in dollars, starting from today's price. Difficulty rises 0.5% a month when bitcoin falls (machines switch off), 1.5% when flat and 2% when it rises. No discounts. After the halving the network reacts in ways a straight line can't capture, so the table stops there: what comes next is worked out here.
Put plainly: with bitcoin flat, by the halving you'll have collected about a third of your $100. The rewards alone only give you the $100 back before then if bitcoin roughly doubles every year. What you do keep is the miner: it's still yours and it can be sold on the marketplace, although its price depends on what it earns at that moment.
The discounts on a $100 miner
Maintenance can be cut by up to 29%. On a small miner, not all the discounts are worth the same:
Free · do it
The daily service button
+0.3% for each consecutive day you press it, up to 3%. Nothing to buy.
+$1.40 a year
Free · comes with the code
A month of VIP Platinum+
The referral code gives you the first 30 days of a VIP level you couldn't reach with 5 TH.
First month only
Costs money
The 20% token discount
You need about $46 in GOMINING tokens in your wallet. It saves you about $9.40 a year.
…
The alternative
Putting that money into TH
The same $46 buys 2.4 TH more of miner.
…
In short: press the button every day and use the Platinum+ month. On a miner this small, if you have extra money, today it earns more in TH than in tokens; and tokens tie your money to the price of another coin, not to bitcoin. The four discounts are explained here.
Three mistakes that hurt more on $100
- Paying by card without knowing about the 90-day hold. Purchases through Apple, Google or Ecommpay can block selling or withdrawing for up to 90 days. Paying in crypto avoids it.
- Withdrawing every week. The bitcoin network fee is per transaction, not per amount. With $2–3 a month, an early withdrawal can eat a big part of it. Let it build up.
- Forgetting the code before buying. It can only be applied to a new account before the first miner. Afterwards it no longer works.
If what you have in mind is a monthly figure rather than a budget, this calculator works backwards from what you want to earn and tells you the TH and the capital it takes.
So, is it worth starting with $100?
What it's good for
Learning how GoMining works with real money and little risk: daily rewards, maintenance, discounts, withdrawals. And if you add TH later, you already know the system.
What it's not
An income. It's about $3 a month, it depends on bitcoin and the halving cuts it. Don't put in money you'll need.
Before buying, run your exact figure through the calculator: it gives you the net, the payback and the bitcoin price below which you lose money. And if you start, this guide walks you through the steps in order. If you've never mined anything, the beginner's guide explains it in five minutes.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum to start on GoMining?
The smallest miner is 1 TH, which cost about $19 in October 2026. With $100 you get about 5 TH.
How much does $100 on GoMining earn per day?
About $0.09 net per day, after electricity and the service fee, with bitcoin around $83,000 (October 2026). That's about $2.70 a month. It changes with the bitcoin price and the network's difficulty.
When do I get my $100 back?
With rewards alone and bitcoin flat, not before the April 2028 halving: by then you'd have collected about a third. You keep the miner, which can be sold. If bitcoin rises a lot, it comes sooner.
Can I lose money?
Yes. If bitcoin falls below about $49,000 (October 2026 data), maintenance costs more than the miner mines. Paying maintenance in GOMINING tokens activates Reward Protection, which floors a bad day at zero instead of a negative balance, but the miner's value can still fall.
If you decide to go in, get something for it
With the code 11jY4 you get +5% extra hashrate on your first miner purchase, up to a maximum of 25 TH, and a free month of VIP Platinum+. On a $100 miner, the +5% is the quarter of a TH that this article already counts.
The code does not travel on its own, and this is what goes wrong. If you tap through on a phone, the link drops you on the app download page, and no part of the address survives that jump. You install, you sign up… and the referral was never applied, with nothing to warn you. Copy it now and paste it into your profile —gear icon top right → Account details → friend's code— before you buy your first miner. Afterwards it can no longer be applied.
The three steps, with the full path inside the app, are on the calculator. This site is not affiliated with GoMining and does not give financial advice: the figures above are estimates built on assumptions you can change yourself, and they can be negative.
